Founder and on-site owner Hope Doms brings more than two decades of industry experience to the chair and the classroom. Her work has been featured on television, in fashion and hair publications, and on major industry stages across the country. As a North American Hairstylist of the Year nominee and an educator who has trained over 10,000 stylists nationwide, Hope built Wair Studio on a foundation of mentorship, innovation, and elevated standards.

This highly specialized cutting technique requires advanced certification and hands-on training. Our artists are professionally trained in the Calligraphy Cut method, mastering the precision and control needed to deliver its full benefits. It’s a craft, not a shortcut.
Using a precision calligraphy pen instead of traditional shears, the hair is cut at a specific angle rather than bluntly. This creates softer ends, enhanced movement, amplified volume, and noticeably healthier-looking hair. The result is shape that feels lighter, grows out beautifully, and styles effortlessly.
Because of the education and skill required, very few salons offer this service — and even fewer truly specialize in it.
